Obituaries of the magazine “The Chasovoy” (1929–1988) –
a reflection of the history of White emigration
Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the corpus of obituaries published in the magazine “Chasovoy” from 1929 to 1988. The key characteristics of 6,400 mourning records are given, allowing us to talk about an important source on the history of the Russian diaspora of the 20th century. The progress of work on organizing and publishing data on all obituaries of “Chasovoy” is described.
