ICOMOS global case study project on recovery and reconstruction: Matrix for the compilation of case studies on best examples of posttraumatic recovery of the World Cultural Heritage properties
Abstract. Thepaperconsidersactivitiesof the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) on issue of recovery of cultural heritage after man-made and natural disasters, in particular: development of the ICOMOS Guidance on Post Trauma Recovery and Reconstruction for World Heritage Cultural Properties and Matrix for the Compilation of Case Studies in frames of the ICOMOS Global Case Study Project on Recovery and Reconstruction. The analysis is carried out on the cooperation of international organizations in the field of preservation of cultural heritage on reconstruction and restoration of properties. A proposal is put forward on the development of the Web-platform of data base for publishing ICOMOS thematic case studies on reconstruction, as well as key words and prompts are suggested for creation of the search engine based on the ICOMOS Matrix for the Compilation of Case Studies.
