Diplomacy and World Heritage: UNESCO’s contribution to the strengthening international dialogue

Abstract. This article covers a complicated issue of the interconnection between diplomacy and world heritage in terms of UNESCO’s contribution to the development and strengthening international dialogue. It specifies the place and significance of world heritage in present-day international relations and comments on its interconnection with diplomacy, at the same time paying attention to the phenomenon of soft power. The article states UNESCO’s significant role in the strengthening and developing of a dialogue among the subjects of the international politics that belong to different cultures. Finally, the Article makes conclusions on UNESCO’s role in international relations in the future.
