The period of formation of the Chekhov International Theater Festival
as a new theatrical institution

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study and analysis of the first 3 Chekhov festivals, proposed by the author as the period of formation of the Chekhov International Theater Festival. It was in the first festivals that the main provisions of this theatrical review were laid down, which later only deepened and expanded. The author's goal is to analyze the dynamics of the development of the first Chekhov festivals, formulate the main objectives of the festival and display the process of their implementation. This work will be of interest to a range of people who are engaged in research in the field of culture and theater in particular, as well as students, undergraduates and postgraduates.
