Role of clubs in reproduction and development of sociocultural life in small russian cities

Abstract. The article attempts to consider the role of club institutions in the reproduction of culture and the development of the sociocultural sphere in modern Russian society. Based on the analysis of official documents of the federal and regional level and local authorities and the experience of club activities in small towns, the importance of cultural participation as a form of civic activity of workers of club and other cultural institutions and civic activists in the formation and development of local cultural policy within the framework of the implementation of state cultural policy is shown.
