Exploration of cultural heritage sites on Bennett Island during the expedition ‘In the footsteps of the wanderers of the Midnight Land’ in 2022

Abstract.The article describes the results of the study of cultural heritage sites related to the history of the Russian Polar Expedition (1900-1902), the Rescue Expedition to search for Baron E.V.Toll and his companions (1903), and the Hydrographic Expedition of the Arctic Ocean (1910-1915), located on Bennett Island in the East Siberian Sea. In 2022 the ‘Apostol Andrey’ yacht Memorial Arctic Expedition ‘In the footsteps of the wanderers of the Midnight Land’ carried out some field research and monitoring of a number of historical monuments related to the history of Russian polar expeditions. The results of the work may help to clarify the previously known data.
