Arctic Ocean. Russian geographical names
as objects of intangible cultural heritage

Abstract. The article was written as part of the state assignment for 2024. The Arctic Ocean has always attracted the attention of many states. The borders of these states are defined and secured by law. Foreign sectors of the Arctic Ocean have Russian geographical names in honor of Russian discoverers. 

Russian geographical names are listed in alphabetical order. A schematic map with these names is also presented.

Key words: Arctic Ocean, Lomonosov Ridge, Gakkel Ridge, Mount Lenin Komsomol, Kotzebue Bay, mapping.
