MEMORIAL LANDSCAPE ON THE COAST OF THE SEA OF AZOV:
THE FIRST STEPS TO ORGANIZE A MUSEUM COMPLEX
IN THE HOMELAND OF FEDOR KONYUKHOV
Abstract. The article is devoted to the experience of organizing the first private museum in the Zaporizhzhya region of the Russian Federation in the small homeland of the world famous traveler, writer, artist and priest Fedor Konyukhov. Based on a field study, the authors consider unsuccessful attempts to museumify the memorial object in 2000-2010, and also set out the concept of a modern museum project, the first steps for its implementation and the emerging difficulties. Considerable attention is paid to the prospects of the museum, its gradual transformation into a large recreational complex that preserves the memorial landscape. The authors come to the conclusion that museum projects that contribute to socio-cultural integration are in demand in the region.
Key words: memorial museum, personal museum, eco-museum, living museum, immersive technologies, local history, Fedor Konyukhov, museums of Zaporizhzhya region.
