ROLE OF VOLUNTEERS IN PRESERVING LANDSCAPE ART,
USING THE EXAMPLE OF ESTATE COMPLEXES
IN CENTRAL RUSSIA
Abstract. The article presents materials in the field of volunteer movement in the adjacent territories of cultural heritage sites based on the author's practical work and research. The author of the article relied on an integrated approach that allows comparing his practical experience with the volunteer movement in Russia. The purpose of the article is to develop effective models of volunteer work aimed at preserving historical estate complexes and the spaces surrounding them. The article used theoretical and special methods of scientific research, including: comparison, analysis, generalization related to the study of various volunteer practices for the restoration of examples of landscape gardening. The subject of the study is the Moscow region historical estate complexes and the territories of historical and cultural heritage sites of the Yaroslavl region, in particular the Pereslavl Museum-Reserve. The author identified scientists working on the problem of volunteer movement in the field of historical and cultural heritage, and also came to the conclusion that as a result of volunteer events and gatherings, students of specialized colleges and universities aged 17 to 26 take the most active part in them. Three volunteer working models have been identified that can be used for different volunteer programs, as well as six specialized volunteer groups for restoration work at landscape gardening sites. The author recommends informing students in advance that they have the right to carry out their activities individually, under the guidance of a volunteer activity organizer, as part of a volunteer organization. It is necessary within the framework of course design and preparation of final qualifying works on the basis of specialized secondary vocational education and higher educational institutions for faster and more effective implementation of a volunteer program for the preservation of landscape gardening art.
