I.A. ILYIN ON PUSHKIN'S HERITAGE
AND THE ANTITHESES OF ITS INTERPRETATION
Abstract. The article reveals the specifics of I.A. Ilyin's axiological, historical and metaphysical assessment of Pushkin's cultural heritage as the center of the Russian spirit through its comparison with the purely «humanistic» Western interpretation of Pushkin by emigrant cultural-philosophical thought represented by G.P. Fedotov, as well as with the interpretation of Pushkin in the film «The Prophet: The History of Alexander Pushkin,» which reflects the negative aspects of the contemporary creative media landscape. This comparison reveals the polarization between state cultural policy aimed at preserving historical and cultural heritage and the tendency of popular culture to threaten traditional spiritual and moral values by promoting alien models and ideals, disguised as sacred themes under the guise of creative expression.
Keywords: Pushkin, I.A. Ilyin, traditional spiritual and moral values, humanism, historical and cultural heritage, creative industry of vulgar culture.
