Field conservation of archeological objects made of stone: to the question of methodology
Abstract. The article considers existing methodological recommendations for field conservation of archaeological finds from stone. The analysis is carried out, mainly on the basis of foreign publications, the most frequently recommended materials are identified, which are compared with the compositions used for the restoration of stone objects in laboratories. The author underlines the lack of relevant russian publications on field conservation. The preliminary methodological recommendations for the various operations produced in the process of field conservation of stone monuments are published for the first time.
