International organizations in the sphere of preservation of the World Cultural Heritage in the context of armed conflict in the Syrian Arab Republic in the years 2011-2017

Abstract. The authors describe the main objects of the World Cultural Heritage that were under threat due to the armed conflicts in Syria from 2011 to 2017. They distinguish three levels of organizations - international (or supranational), interstate and national, detailing the contribution of the main organizations to the preservation and prevention of further destruction of the cultural heritage of the country, which is an important part of the world cultural heritage.
