Bard's song as an intangible cultural heritage in the context of centuries-old oral song culture

Abstract. Consideration of Russian Author´s (bard) song for the second half of the twentieth century in the context of a centuries-old song culture gives reason to identify this phenomenon as an intangible cultural heritage, leading its beginning from the ancient times of human existence. It is shown that the main feature which draws together songs people preliterate culture with modern songs of the «bards», is the property of both the oral song tradition. Public recognition of the values accumulated an art song for more than half a century period necessitate the execution of research and implementation of practical actions aimed at the preservation and systematization of the currently available array of these songs recorded on modern storage media.
