Some aspects of creating an electronic catalog of Slobozhansk icons of the late 18th - early 20th centuries
Abstract. The author examines some aspects of creating an electronic catalog from the point of view of the concept of the future virtual museum of Slobozhansk icons. The richest spiritual heritage of Slobozhanshchina – one of the major cultural and spiritual centers of the Russian Empire of the 17-20th centuries, reflected in icons, suffered greatly during the great cataclysms in the 20th century. In the present, the spiritual heritage is scattered and little studied, therefore it is inaccessible to the majority of citizens of both Russia and Ukraine. This forces us to look for new ways of collecting, preserving and inheriting it. The author sees one of the ways to implement these tasks in the creation of a narrowly focused virtual museum of Slobozhansk icons, the basis of which is an electronic catalog of Slobozhansk icons of the late 18th - early 20th centuries.
Key words: virtual electronic catalog, Slobozhansk icons, preservation, study and popularization of cultural heritage.
