The big in the small. Touches on the characteristics
of the state cultural policy of the period of perestroika
Abstract. The article examines two little-known episodes related to the history of Soviet cinema during the period of perestroika. Through the analysis of specific managerial decisions of the Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU on ideology and the head of the 5th directorate of the KGB, the true background of the state and party cultural policy of that time is characterized.
Key words: state cultural policy, perestroika, ideological struggle, Soviet cinema, cultural and informational confrontation.
