The history of the formation of the Abaza folk culture institutions
of the 20th century: trends, specific and numerical dynamics
Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the historical stages of the formation and development of the Abaza folk culture institutions of the XX century. The purpose of the study was to identify the formation of creative amateur groups of Abaza folk culture in the Soviet period of Russian history. The research was based on archival materials from the State Archive of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. The article shows the directions of the Abaza folk culture, which were more developed in the pre-war period and in the post-war period. The characteristic of the organizational activity of party bodies in the formation of folk culture collectives is given. The research is based on information and documentary methods based on the principles of historicism and objectivity in historical knowledge. Working with documents included studying, systematizing information, summarizing and compiling tables representing trends in the institutionalization of Abaza folk culture. The study showed the objective processes of professionalization of amateur folk groups in the second half of the twentieth century. The continuation of the research involves studying the current state of the KCR folk culture groups, both independently and professionally engaged in Abaza folk choreography.
