Civilizational presence of Russia in the world: the 135th anniversary of the beginning of the activities of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society in the Russian Empire and the Middle East
Abstract: the author presents a brief history of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society and civilization as the first international project of Russia, which successfully developed 135 years. The author believes that the main grounds of the success of IOPS are: working towards the development of Orthodox pilgrimages, support for Christians in the Middle East and unique research. Educational and charitable activities of the Society in the countries of the Biblical region of Russia earned the gratitude and kindness of the local population.
