Traditional shipbuilding in Armenia: on projects implemented, current and planned

Abstract. The author raises the topic of the history of shipbuilding and navigation in Armenia. Due to the country's loss of access to the sea, this topic, in the author's opinion, was almost completely forgotten. The severance of communication with the sea had another significant result - the loss of a huge layer of history and culture. The «Ayas» Club of Marine Research, headed by the author, aims to revive, bring back to life marine traditions, tell about them, show and prove that the lack of access to the sea at the moment cannot prevent returning to the sea. Article gives an overview of the history of the club and its diverse activities on the implementation of this goal.
