Abstract. The article substantiates the primacy of the spiritual factor in relation to any cultural heritage, the need for a spiritual value measurement of the intangible cultural heritage of Russia as a process of cultural inheritance, the main content of which is the assimilation of a spiritual, mental, and bodily creative act, which has an original civilizational and at the same time universal character, capable of to integrate all aspects of activity, and making it possible for a temporary cultural object to remain in eternity. The categories of «givenness», «assignment» and «implementation» make it possible to systematize the theory and practice of cultural inheritance.
