Books of Receipts of the Russian National Museum of Music as a source of data on the formation and attribution of the museum collection

Abstract. The author refers to the study of internal museum records as a source of information on the process of formation of museum funds. Source analysis of the Books of receipts of the Russian National Museum of Music of the 1910s-1930s and 1980s makes it possible to identify sources of receipts, donors and the history of the existence of things for the subsequent stock attribution of museum objects.

Key words: museum accounting, accounting documentation, formation of the museum collection, museum funds research, attribution of museum objects.
