Based on the results of a study by the Scientific expertise Department
of GOSNIIR

Abstract. The article is devoted to an expert study of a pictorial sketch from the private collection of the famous Soviet artist D.A.Nalbandian (1906-1993). This sketch entitled «Lenin's Speech at the House of Unions» is another preparatory work by the artist, completed in 1990, along with the sketch of the same name from the collection of the Museum-Workshop of D.A.Nalbandian (Moscow). The article analyzes Nalbandian's artistic manner of the late period of his work, highlights the main features of his picturesque handwriting. The attributed work expands our understanding of the specifics of the artist's creative process at that time, complementing a number of his reference works. In turn, the materials of the conducted research seem relevant for the study of Late Soviet art in general.

Key words: D.A.Nalbandian, Soviet art, painting, research, expertise, attribution.
