The shadow sector of the creative industries:
assessment of the scale and turnover
Abstract. The data obtained show that, in all likelihood, we are dealing with an underestimation of the contribution of the creative industry to the economy of the Russian Federation.
The shadow economy in the creative industry continues to be a threat to the economic development of the country and its national security. The emergence of new technological solutions, the improvement of the hardware and software base of cyber crime, intellectual raiding in the creative industry, create new challenges for both business and the state.
Key words: shadow economy, creative industry, Russian economy, intellectual property.
