Mikhail Pavlovich Kroshitsky:
museum, painting and war

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the Sevastopol museum figure and artist Mikhail Pavlovich Kroshitsky, who single-handedly saved the artistic treasures of the Sevastopol Art Gallery during the Great Patriotic War. M.P.Kroshitsky was a participant in the revolutionary events of 1917, a member of the commission of the Crimean branch of the society for the protection of monuments of art and antiquity, the founder of the Voronezh Art Museum, the organizer and teacher of art studios and schools in Sevastopol, Voronezh and Tomsk, a painter, graphic artist, illustrator of children's educational literature of the 1930s.
