Universal values and the conflict of civilizations

Abstract. The article is dedicated to applied aspects of studying core inner values, which are common for all world civilizations. The practical significance of using the value-based and civilization-based approach for conducting the foreign policy of Russian Federation is being analyzed. The key content of modern era is determined as the confrontation between the Western civilization and other world civilizations altogether, which are united on the basis of traditional universal spiritual and moral values.
