Synthesis of genres in theatrical arts
(on the example of the Musical theatre ‘On Basmannaya’)

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of synthesis in the context of the formation of theatrical art genres. The relevance and demand for the topic in modern realities is due to the active interaction of modern theater with various social institutions and the continuous synthesis of various types and genres of art. In the context of the history of the formation of theater as an integral part of the life of society from ancient civilizations to its modern position in art, the author, using the example of the Moscow theater «Na Basmannoy» (“On Basmannaya”), analyzes the main aspects of the interaction of theater and other types of art that influence the formation of new varieties of modern theater art.
