The phenomenon of a private museum in the socio-cultural space:
Julian Semenov Museum in Crimea
Abstract. The article examines the phenomenon of a private museum in the socio-cultural space using the example of the Julian Semenov House Museum in Crimea. Statistics from open sources on the number of private museums in Russia are provided. It is characterized by the curatorial, scientific and educational work of the Museum, which convincingly testifies to the scale of the personality of a talented writer, journalist, historian, translator, and screenwriter, which goes far beyond the story about the author of the screenplay of the popular Russian and foreign multi-part film «Seventeen Moments of Spring.» The analysis of the contribution of the Julian Semenov Museum to the cultural heritage of the country and the creative legacy of the writer is given, and the business model of the museum's operation is given.
