Textual nature of the song text: cultural aspects

Abstract. The article deals with the analysis of the textual nature of the song text in the cultural paradigm context. Particular attention is given to the consideration of the song text in the projection of Y. M. Lotman's idea for culture, text and function. The author reveals the specificity of the functioning of the song text in terms of meanings transmission and generation, cultural memory preservation. The influence of intertextuality on the interpretative forms of the modern song text, as well as on the establishment of communication between generations at the level of musical and cultural traditions, is shown.
