YALTA BRANCH OF THE CRIMEAN STATE PHILHARMONIC
IN THE CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL RETROSPECTIVE OF DEVELOPMENT
Abstract. This article examines the historical aspects of the development of musical education in Yalta and provides a historical analysis of the formation and development of the Yalta branch of the Crimean State Philharmonic, from the founding of the Yalta branch of the Imperial Russian Musical Society at the turn of the 20th century to the early 21st century. A retrospective of the organization's concert, performance, and public education activities is presented, highlighting its most significant achievements. Outstanding names of the artistic staff from various historical periods are revived, and the role of individual performers and ensembles in the development and shaping of the Philharmonic's image is assessed.
