PATTERNS OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL
DIGITAL HERITAGE PRESERVATION IN RUSSIA
Abstract. This article is based on the results of the roundtable discussion «Social Cooperation and the Development of Non-State Digital Preservation Initiatives for Cultural Heritage. On the 15th Anniversary of the 'Preserved Culture' Project,» held as part of the Fifth International Conference «Contemporary Culture and Communications» (St. Petersburg, October 2025). It summarizes the extensive, long-standing experience of leading Russian non-governmental projects in the digital preservation of Russian-language cultural heritage. It analyzes the general and specific challenges of their development, and, based on the materials of the roundtable discussion and the experience of the creators of these initiatives, presents a draft resolution reflecting the principles of this work.
