Abstract: The contribution to the study of cross-cultural interaction of Russia with the countries of Southeast Asia, the example of Vietnam, including in the technical sphere and in the sphere of military cooperation discussed in this article. A new book, Doctor of Historical Sciences Alexander V. Okorokov a series of «Local wars Russia» reveals her (Okorokov A.V. Forgotten in Vietnam - Moscow: «Veche» Publishing House, 2016. - 256 c).
