The experience of creating the Russian encyclopedia ‘Tourism’
Abstract. The Russian encyclopedic dictionary “Tourism” contains 3200 articles and definitions of terms representing the tourist sphere. This sectoral scientific reference edition contains a professional review on issues in the field of tourism, includes vocabulary used in practical tourist activities, as well as used in legal documents, business correspondence and in negotiations. Also it includes historical terms related to travel, and biographies of famous personalities of Russian tourism.
Key words: tourism, encyclopedic dictionary, tourist terminology, cultural and natural heritage, culture, economy, law, tourist infrastructure.
