Silk Roads serial transnational World Heritage nomination: nomination coordination mechanisms

Abstract. The paper considers the issue of the World Heritage nomination of serial transnational cultural heritage sites for the inscription to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The paper analyses the coordination mechanisms implemented within the framework of the Silk Roads Serial Transnational World Heritage project, in particular, for the preparation of the nomination dossier of the Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang’an-Tianshan Corridor World Heritage site. In this context, the authors identified several World Heritage nominations projects of the Russian Federation, where the studied mechanisms could be integrated.
