Research remains of the traditional Russian ship of the mid-seventeenth century from Onega lake
Abstract. The article discusses the preliminary results of studies of the remains of the ship, thrown in the autumn of 2018, a storm on the coast of lake Onega. The vessel dates back to the middle of the XVIIth century, and built on ancient Russian technology using as a fastening material of its individual parts of flexible ties (vica). Particular attention is paid to the sewing technique and the history of shipbuilding in the areas of modern Vologda region.
