Problems of protection of objects of the archaeological heritage in the territory of sites (places of interest)
Abstract. The sites (places of interest) of both regional and federal significance, set as protection in each subject of the Russian Federation, reflected the cultural diversity of the regions and differed in composition, protection categories and content regimes. In general, they reflected regional cultural policy, which is closely linked to regional identity and identification. An important task is not only the fixation and scientific attribution of archeological monuments located in the territory of a place of interest, but also their representation in the context of regional history, especially within the meanings of particular territories.
Key words: sites (place of interest), archeological monument, regional self-identification, regional cultural policy, objects of cultural heritage.
