The factor of understanding Russian culture on the example of S. Diaghilev's creative activity through the prism of newspaper publications in the UK, 20th century

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of newspaper publications in the UK press for the 20th century, devoted not only to the activities of S.P. Diaghilev as an outstanding impresario, but also to his outstanding personality. The phenomenon of Russian ballet is characterized and the reasons for its triumph in the West are revealed through the prism of the personality of Sergei Diaghilev. An attempt is being made to see unique works of Russian theater art through the eyes of the European press.
