The specific contradiction of the concept of «mass culture»
Abstract. The article reveals the internal contradictions of the concept «mass culture»; explores the concept of «culture» as primarily a system of higher values and meanings, on the one hand, and the concept of «mass culture» as, first of all, some, first, commercial, and secondly, purposefully manipulating the mass consciousness of the product; considered from this angle, the specific current situation of the Postmodern.
