Typology of underwater heritage sites and prospects for their research
Abstract. This article considers the cultural and historical foundations of the study of underwater cultural heritage. A typology of underwater heritage sites is presented and various examples of cultural heritage sites are considered in accordance with it; their importance and perspective in terms of studying culture and history are reflected.
Key words: underwater heritage, cultural heritage, typology of objects of underwater cultural heritage, underwater historical and cultural landscapes, underwater cave paintings.
