Cultural transmission mechanisms and modes in the context
of historical development of the Stronsky artistic dynasty
Abstract. Using the Stronsky artistic dynasty as an example, this article examines a horizontal model of cultural transmission and explores its validity as a functional system for inheriting traditions. The study identifies the mechanisms for transmitting artistic techniques and the value foundations of professional art, as well as the historical, psychological, and sociological factors in the dynasty's formation. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between the two branches of the dynasty and the transitional processes - from the historically established military traditions of the family to the development of a professional artistic focus. The influence of family tradition on the development of new sociocultural processes within the dynasty is also examined. The results of this study contribute to the refinement of scholarly understanding of the relationship between continuity and renewal of tradition in the context of artistic dynasties.
Keywords: artistic dynasty, dynasty of Stronsky painters, Peter Timofeevich Stronsky, cultural inheritance, artistic culture, traditional historical and cultural foundations.
