Tainitskaya Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin:
historical and architectural review

Abstract. A review of written sources about the Tainitskaya Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, an analysis of plans and measurements. The architectural features of the tower are revealed, and the documents are compared with the actual structure. An attempt has been made to explain the structural features of the tower and its name. Problems requiring additional research are identified.
