Annotation. The material covers all stages of the preparation of schematic map «Borodino field during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945» from field surveys of the territory to the layout of publication. The article gives detailed description of thematic maps and the most significant objects from different periods of national history related to the field of Borodino.
