Abstract. Using expert research conducted at the State Research Institute for Restoration (GOSNIIR) on works by three Vladimir painters — V.Ya.Yukin, I.D.Yudin, and N.A.Mokrov — this article examines the problems of authorial repetition, copying, or intentionally authorized falsification in the practice of the late and post-Soviet era. The main individual techniques of the pictorial style, demonstrated in original versions and repetitions of their famous works, are described. An attempt is also made to document elements of falsification practices that imitate the characteristics of V.Ya.Yukin's original pictorial style. The issue of preserving the painters' authentic legacy and the relevance of a comprehensive technical and technological study of the works of Vladimir painters, including those from the 1980s and 1990s, are raised.
Keywords: painter, V.Ya.Yukin, I.D.Yudin, N.A.Mokrov, Vladimir school of painting, author's repetition, authorized falsification, expertise.
